Ten Second Review
308 DIESEL HATCHBACK 1.6 HDi Lease Review - This entry level model to Peugeot’s 308 1.6 litre diesel line delivers 92 horsepower via its 5 speed manual transmission.  As you might suspect with that amount of horsepower it’s a bit slower to get going than other models in the 308 line, but once you get going, you won’t notice the lag at all.

You won’t be elevated over the road too much in the 308, although the optional larger 18” wheels are a bit more bouncy than the smaller wheels which come fitted as standard.  It’s a bit awkward in terms of handling, so if you’re out on a country road, be aware of this.  You’ll feel the road and the engine more in this model than the other 308s, but it’s a trade-off, thanks to the larger cabin and heavier body.

The 308 is louder than some of the others in terms of wind and road noise.  Compared to older Peugeots, though, you’ll think this car is silent and stealthy.  The boot is also surprisingly roomy being able to hold 470 litres of luggage.

This car has been called “classy” and it’s easy to see why.  It’s very comfortable to ride in and the materials are of good quality.  It doesn’t feel like an entry level car, and when you pull up to your friend’s house, you won’t look like you’re driving one, either.
