Lexus RC F Coupe Lease Review - Think Lexus and the mind conjures the executive saloon image. This model might make you think again. This small coupe looks mean on the road and even angrier on the track, with sports exhausts, grills, vents and alloys giving its glaring physique the racing feel of a Mitsubishi crossed with a Lotus. The sporty feel is accentuated by the 5.0 litre V8 petrol engine hidden under the angled bonnet, without turbochargers this will still deliver an astonishing 471bhp giving the RC F a 0-60 of under 4.5 seconds, although you will have to make it work to get it there.

The drive gives the same impression, despite the technological dashboard there is something about this model that takes you back to basics, with responsive steering and clunky gears that still make the driver feel 110% in control of the car. While a brute on the straights, the RC F dances around corners with plenty of body control, leaving the 1,750kg monster feeling surprisingly light and natural. Inside you will still get that sporty feel, brightly coloured chunky sports seats mix with metal pedals and three-point wheel. However, the leather upholstery and comfortable padding mimic the usual luxury feel expected by the usual Lotus clientele. Kit is geared towards sped, with torque vectoring rear diff and carbon fibre body-parts available on the high-end models, although all the usual refinements such as satellite navigation and LED lights come as standard.

Worthy of note is the ten speaker stereo system, which sound great in the tight confines of the two-seater cockpit, while the exterior looks mean with the inclusion of a carbon fibre spoiler at the back should you deem it necessary. However, the real selling point on this model is the exclusivity. Chances are you will never pass another one of these on the roads, with only around 300 expected to sell per year, and with the engine you have you’ll be leaving plenty of lesser motors in your wake. A speedy racer that drives hugging the road but still feels manageable and comfortable inside, this is a real gem in the Lexus range, providing something completely different at a very reasonable price.
